Since 1987, the imposing building located at 20 cours Pasteur, about 200 meters the Pey-Berland square, has housed the Aquitaine Museum. Built in the 1880’s on the ruins of the former Feuillants’ convent built in the 16th century and on the plans of architect Charles Durand to host the premises of the Faculty of Letters and Sciences, it now houses most of the discoveries made on the site of the former Burdigala. Roman steles and sculptures are the fame of this museum. The coffin of Michel de Montaigne was recently rediscovered in the cellar.

The welcome cocktail on Monday, August 29 will take place in its premises.
