This building complex, which dates from the end of the 19th century, is located in the heart of Bordeaux, near the Saint André cathedral, on the Place Pey Berland. It is the historic site of law, political science, economics and management sciences. After the decision was taken to develop the University outside the city centre, the Faculty of Law left Place Pey Berland for new premises in Pessac, delivered in 1966. The historic site was not abandoned, however. It will remain in operation and will host certain specialized courses. In 2006, the departure of the Institute of Business Administration Management Sciences University Center for the right bank of the Garonne opened up new perspectives. A complete renovation of the complex, completed in 2011, has given new life to this site steeped in history.

Dieser Gebäudekomplex wurde Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts gebaut und befindet sich im Herzen von Bordeaux, in der Nähe der Kathedrale Saint André, direkt am Place Pey Berland. Es ist der historische Standort für Rechtswissenschaften, Politikwissenschaft, Wirtschafts- und Managementwissenschaften.

Nach der Entscheidung, die Universität außerhalb des Stadtzentrums auszubauen, zog 1966 die Rechtsfakultät vom Place Pey Berland in neue Räumlichkeiten in Pessac um. Der historische Standort wurde jedoch nicht ganz aufgegeben und wurde weiterhin für besondere Lehrveranstaltungen genutzt.

Nach dem Umzug des Institut d'Administration des Entreprises (Institut für Unternehmensverwaltung) in das Universitätszentrum für Managementwissenschaften am rechten Ufer der Garonne beginnt 2006 die vollständige Renovierung des gesamten Komplexes. Sie wird 2011 abgeschlossen und hat dazu beigetragen, den geschichtsträchtigen Standort wiederzubeleben.
