It contains the call for papers for all parallel sections (see the list in the congress program, section "parallel sections"). Responses to the appeal are expected by March 30, 2021. Hommage à Jean-Louis Ferrary Jean Louis Ferrary nous a quittés le 09 août dernier, à Paris. La disparition de cet immense savant a suscité une grande émotion parmi les épigraphistes, historiens ou philologiques, latinistes ou hellénistes. De façon légitime, de nombreux hommages lui ont été rendu, à l’EPHE, par Denis Rousset, par l’École française de Rome, la société française de numismatique, par Arnaud Suspène ou le grand quotidien Le Monde.
Le comité d’organisation du congrès tient également à lui rendre hommage et à lui témoigner sa gratitude. Depuis l’automne 2017, Jean-Louis Ferrary a joué un grand rôle dans la préparation du congrès de Bordeaux, tant dans le choix de son thème général, que dans la composition du comité scientifique ou la discussion sur les thématiques fixées par le comité scientifique. Bien qu’atteint par la maladie qui finit par l’emporter, il participé activement à nos débats, avec son acuité de jugement habituelle, son esprit de compromis et sa hauteur de vue. Généreux de son temps et bienveillant, à titre privé comme à titre public, il nous a beaucoup aidés. Nous sommes persuadés que si le congrès est réussi, ce sera aussi grâce à lui. Nous aurions tous aimé l’y voir et pouvoir l’y remercier. Nous avons donc perdu autant un grand savant qu’un véritable ami. |
